I love the ritual of washing your hands. I can't get in trouble saying "Did you wash your hands" like a parent talking to a kid. XD Course the basin I saw was all stone, I like this bamboo one.

It was really cool. And I looked like a jackass wondering what the hell this thing was! I should have definitely done more research before going to Kyoto but next time I will be ready! :)

sometimes they are. Other times I get really evil "Gai-jin stares" and I feel all out of place. Im going to Danjiri tomorrow. Its supposed to be some running festival thats pretty aggressive.
